The Voices and Choices for Children Coalition is working closely with the Governor’s Children's Cabinet, elected officials, state ethnic councils, state agencies, early childhood funders, community-based organizations and parents representing communities of color and American Indian communities, focuses on developing strongly engaged cultural communities of learning as well as organizing and advocacy opportunities for their access, input, and impact around shaping early childhood practices and policies for children of color and American Indian children prenatal to 8 years old throughout Minnesota.
The Voices and Choices for Children coalition prioritizes the voices of organizations, professionals and parents of color and American Indians working across early childhood sectors to more meaningfully engage and empower communities of color and American Indians—many of whom have traditionally been under-served by our existing early childhood education and child-development infrastructure.
